@Alix M PER MATT.. THIS ONE WILL FALL INTO THE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT FOREST RIVER HAD SENT OUT A WHILE AGO ABOUT THEM BEING RESPONSIBLE IF THE DISTRIBUTOR IS UNABLE TO HELP. WE TRIED CALLING MAGIC CHEF TWICE AND THEY REFERRED USED TO FOREST RIVER. FOREST RIVER REFERRED US BACK TO MAGIC CHEF. ADDITIONALLY, THIS IS A HOT UNIT. THE CUSTOMER HAS CAMPING PLANS IN A WEEK.

@Kaitlyn R Forest River Denied this stating the unit has been out of warranty since 10/12/25. Do you by chance have a copy of that notice that you mentioned? I did email the person that denied it asking them to review again. If they state still denied, I will discuss this with Chris.

@Kaitlyn R @Michelle A From Forest River: I apologize but I am not familiar with the announcement you are referring to. There was a TSB that was released for the Magic Chef MCDCR10DSG model, but that was specifically for that model only. Also, can you please advise on the number that was called for Forest River, the number you were using to call, and the names of anyone you spoke with? Rockwood Flagstaff does not deal with Magic Chef directly, we would not have asked for you to get in contact with them directly.

@Matt F @Kaitlyn R Can you tell me when this was initially brought up to Greeneway? The warranty expired in October, and Magic Chef is also only covered for 1 year aside from compressor parts it looks like.

@Alix M THE CUSTOMER CALLED US TO NOTIFY US OF THE REFER ON MAY 15 2026. I WILL NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY ARE OUT OF WARRANTY AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BILL.

@Alix M the customer spoke to Forest River. We are to submit the diagnosis form that I just uploaded to the warranty claim per Debra Rimsa.

@Kaitlyn R @Michelle A This has been approved for 1.25 hour as a goodwill. These do in fact only have a 1-year warranty, but we will still authorize this as goodwill as our rep was misinformed and told the customer they have a 2-year warranty.
