@Alix M WE ARE ASKING FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSTIC TIME ON THAT LINE. AS WELL AS THE .6 ALREADY USED. CAN THEY APPROVE US AN HOUR TO LOOK FURTHER INTO THE ISSUE FOR CAUSE? THEY DON'T EVER WANT TO PAY US FOR OUR ACTUAL DIAG TIME SO I'M TRYING TO GET APPROVALS FOR FURTHER BEFORE I HAVE MY TECH DO THAT AND NOT HAVE THE TIME PAID FOR.
Alix Mongiat
processor • May 14, 2025, 11:45 AM
We have tried that in the past and they require complete diagnostic before approving anything. Let me discuss with @Heidi H

@Alix M LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU COME BACK WITH. i WAS OUT OF THIS FOR A WHILE NOW SO STILL TRYING TO GET BACK INTO IT. iF THEY WON'T APPROVE FURTHER DIAG LET ME KNOW FOR SURE AND i WILL HAVE MY TECH GET IT TO IT FURTHER. THANK YOU!

@Michelle A For Warranty Repair 2; can you have the tech be specific in the notes about what he has done thus far and what he plans to do next for further testing? They might be more lenient if we are specific about it. I will enter the rest of these lines on 1 PA and then enter this one on a new one just so it doesn't hold up the rest if they do come back. Just let me know if you can get more specific info from the tech. Thanks!!

When I refer to a Job/line I call it by what it is labeled on these WOs, not the order they are in. If I were to go by the order they were in it would get confusing because the photos are labeled by the jobs names as well.
Alix Mongiat

The fire alarm is labeled as Warranty Repair 5, so I see where the confusion is. But the Slide like is just Job 5.

The batteries are fine in working order something from within the unit is drawing off the batteries causing them to not hold a charge. that's what we are requesting diag for. not the batteries themselves. So for clarification, the issue is not with the batteries, but the unit

@Kaitlyn R @Michelle A @ANNA F Job Warranty Repair 2 -From GD: I suggest you call in and get a case # and get transferred to tech support and see if they can assist you in finding out what the issue is. They put this back in pending status and stated warranty doesn't cover diagnostic time- I informed them of the WI law. @Heidi H

@Kaitlyn R @Michelle A @ANNA F Latest from GD regarding Warranty Repair 2: Troubleshooting Steps: Check the voltage: Measure the voltage at the battery terminals while driving to see if the alternator is charging.  Inspect the isolator solenoid: If the alternator is charging but the batteries aren't, the isolator solenoid might be faulty.  Test the batteries: Have the batteries professionally tested to assess their condition.  Identify parasitic loads: Check for any lights, devices, or other appliances that might be draining power.  Clean and secure connections: Ensure all connections, including battery terminals, are clean and tight.

@Alix M hERE ARE THE UPDATED NOTES FROM MY TECHNICIAN. "started the diagnosis process. Batteries were drained down to 6.2v with disconnect off. Letting converter charge up batteries sufficiently. Noticed there is a red light on the furrion solar charge controller. Polarity reversed from controller to battery see pictures. Corrected polarity issue on charge controller, now correct orange light is illuminated with option "sealed" selected. Batteries left on charge over weekend and are now holding a significant charge, doing further testing to make sure they are undamaged. 5/27/25 - Batteries are now floating at 12.9v after being charged for 48hrs. Think the parasitic load draining the batteries was that incorrect polarity from the solar charge controller. No longer draining the batteries when disconnect is off. ..."
