@Brian P Jayco stated they can authorize an hour to get started, but they can't approve time just to diag. Let me know what you want to do. I need to add some feedback to them.

The furnace can not be accessed in the area it is installed. The dinette will need to be partially if not fully disassembled to remove furnace. We need at least 3.00hrs to start. Then we need to set furnace up on a bench with 12v and LP to bench test to actually diagnose.

They've denied it now. Even taking away the hour they offered. My recommendation on this one would be to move forward with diagnosis, and when you have found an issue, I can claim multiple labor codes to get as much of your time covered as possible. I just looked through the flat rate manual, and there are about 5 labor codes I can claim to get you up to 3 hours for what you have here on the work order. Now, whether or not they approved all the time or if some of the labor codes would be included with your repair..that would need to be determined when I submit the PA.

I wonder why they would deny the claim, it is a pre-auth to pull the furnace since it has no access.

In my experience with Jayco, I've not ever had luck with them authorizing anything until there is a known problem.

This was the response back after I entered notes on it asking for 3.0 hours. freezeb March 6, 2026 10:15 AM denied - Jayco does not pay for diag time alone. I was offing an hour to help
