@Stephanie D @Ashlee O This is the feedback from KZ:
Both arms were damaged at factory install of the wiring to the awning doesn't make sense. Nor are the pics reflecting this.  Please explain what the install issue is and what the remedy is to correct the issue and not just replace the arms.

I spoke with Cole on this since he was the tech that done the diag. He stated the front arm is the only one that needs replaced. This type of damage is done when the wiring is installed. As far as a repair, when metal is damaged like this it can't be repaired.

This is the response from KZ. 1/8/26 Wire wouldn't cause this type of damage to the arm. If it was on install, there is no report of this on the DAF and damage would have occurred before.  unit on lot since 10/14/24

I don't believe Cole is saying the wiring itself is causing the issue, it's damage that occurred while the wiring was being installed. I think the bigger issue is that KZ sees it as you having it in your inventory since October of 2024 before it was sold in September of 2025 - wasn't this checked when the unit was delivered? Please advise.

The wiring isn't causing the damage, the person who installed the wire from the factory did. This was caused from the tool they use to crimp the wire in place. Even if it was not noticed upon delivery, this damage could only be caused when the arms were being assembled.

@Stephanie K @Ashlee O To replace a motor head cover you do not have to extend the arm all of the way out. The installation damage the customer noticed is only noticeable when arms are fully extended.

I'm going to put this one back in pending...KZ got back to me today & said, "KZ doesn't install the wiring on the awning arms. Lippert the vendor does. We have sent request for consideration to Lippert. Once the approve or deny, we will update you.

I got an email back this morning saying Lippert will Goodwill replacement of one new awning arm and .5 hours. 

I need to resubmit a new PA, and I will get that going now.
