@Michelle A your comment above state that this repair was completed on 5/18, but it wasn't moved to ready to submit until 7/2. That's too long for a warranty claim to have no action. We understand you are short handed, manufacturers, don't care. They look for ways not to pay claims, this is an easy no for them. The claim has been submitted, let's see what Grand Design says. @Matt F as manufacturers become more and more stringent with policy and procedure you may want to reach out to IDS to see if there is a way to add the official completion date on your final invoices. Other manufacturers ask for that date in their claim submission already. Let's see how this one plays out. . Happy Friday everyone!

DATE EXCEPTION TO RESOLVE: the replacement shade invoice shows June 5 shipment, later than the May 18 completion date used on the claim. Verify the actual installation and line-completion dates from receiving records, technician punches and the final invoice. Only genuine contemporaneous evidence could support a date correction/appeal; the invoice alone does not prove installation or timely filing. Two original sidebar comments are deleted, so their contents cannot be reconstructed. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DIFFERENT: record a reliable completion date for each repair, transfer the finished packet promptly, and use an aging alert before the manufacturer's deadline. Submit completed approved lines without waiting for unrelated work; the additional stretched-fabric repair was moved to WO 13388B on June 18. Earlier shade/awning tag requests were followed by photos and approvals, so they are not still outstanding. Preserve the existing parts-hold instruction; this review does not order a return or disposal. Owner confirms unpaid/write-off status.
