@Kaitlyn R From GD: After Management Review. The sublet invoice has “shackle repair” as the job description. We should ask them to have it updated to state, “weld 6 V-braces to the axle hanger”. They also need to state how many labor hours and their hourly rate on the invoice.

@Kaitlyn R From Grand Design: Could you please confirm if the V-braces were purchased from Grand Design? Please advise the dealer that we can submit the sublet invoice to Lippert, but there is no guarantee that they will accept due to the incorrect job description the invoice provided doesn’t break down part and labor. In the event it is denied, it will also be denied by Grand Design as we are unable to confirm that the correct job was completed due to the job description on the sublet invoice.

@Alix M the v braces were not purchased from grand design. They are simply steel stock that our welder supplies when doing the campaign.

@Kaitlyn R @Matt F @Chris B From Grand Design: Lippert will NOT accept the sublet invoice provided due to the labor hours being listed as a Quantity of 1, the job description being incorrect and is not even close to the campaign repair, and there are no parts or part descriptions stating the size, gauge, etc. of the steel used for the repairs. Therefore, they cannot confirm if this sublet is for the repair of the web crack campaign or that the correct parts and part sizing was used. Additionally, if a flat rate code requires a pre-auth to be submitted, the job should NOT be completed until the pre-auth has been approved.

@Heidi H - @Randall B has been going back and forth with Dan Kussow. The recall has been completed. Before and after photos have been supplied. Grand design is arguing because the invoice from our sublet provider isnt itemized and the grand design part numbers were not utilized for the repair. All of the required parts are raw steel - which the sublet vendor provided. This entire issue is because they dont like the sublet vendors invoice. On a phonecall, Dan mentioned everything looks correct and they have no concerns with the repairs.
