@Alix M I don't know what to say to that. @Matt F Regardless of how large the dent is or when we found it, it needs replacement.. I'm unsure if Matt can supply some further information to get this covered.

@Alix M Looks like we received the camper in November. It came in in mid January to have the prep completed where the dent was discovered. It is a small dent, not a "major defect" that would be noted on a DAF. We have had very little lot traffic (the weather has been very cold and snowy) and have no current working quotes on this unit making the possibility of it being lot damage nearly zero. The interior of the camper was quite dirty and dusty, and would have been very easy to miss on a quick DAF inspection.

@Michelle A @Matt F From FR: DAF states nothing about unit being dirty, we allow the secondary inspection which is to be performed within 3 days of delivery to note damages, this is damage and very visible in photos.

@Alix M @Michelle A DAF is an acronym for Dealer Acceptance Form, not “warranty exclusion document”. The purpose of the DAF is to confirm receipt of the unit and to document substantial damage or shortages that would reasonably warrant refusal of delivery. It is not intended, nor designed, to catalog minor cosmetic defects in material or workmanship. As stated directly on the form (Item #2 at the top), the Dealer Unit Inspection Form is to document substantial damage and shortages, not minor cosmetic issues that do not affect the function, saleability, or acceptance of the unit. A small dent in a refrigerator door does not constitute a “major defect” that would justify refusing delivery of the unit. Refusing delivery for such an issue would be impractical and inconsistent with standard industry practice. At delivery, all appliances and major components appeared to be present reasonably functional. The only notable issue at that time was the entry screen door being difficult to open. Additionally, the refrigerator surface was dirty at the time of delivery, making a minor cosmetic dent easy to miss during a quick acceptance inspection. The dent was identified during the PDI process when the unit was properly cleaned and prepared for sale. The DAF serves as an acceptance confirmation—not a waiver of warranty coverage for cosmetic defects discovered during normal preparation. Denying coverage on this basis mischaracterizes the purpose and scope of the DAF. Based on the above, this damage should be treated as a warrantable defect present at delivery, not dealer-caused damage. Please advise on next steps to move this claim forward.

@Michelle A @Matt F Warranty Repair 1: approved for 0.2 hour Warranty Repair 2: approved for 0.3 hour- pending photo of model/serial number data tag and cord cut from defective microwave Warranty Repair 3: approved for part only; The purpose of the secondary DAF is for a more detailed inspection as stated below.  If the unit is dirty and a proper inspection cannot be made than this should also be noted on the DAF as stated below. Appliances are major components and any damage should be noted.  As a 1x dealer goodwill part only will be authorized and can be ordered at N/C through my parts department referencing the claim#.

@Chris B There is that "goodwill" word again... Why should we eat labor for a defect in a camper that existed upon delivery? I am glad we at least got over this hurdle... BUT, it is not goodwill. It is a warrantable concern they are refusing to pay labor for. @Alix M @Michelle A
