@Kaitlyn R Warranty Repair 2: attach a photo of the door data tag for vendor review Warranty Repair 4: denied Dealer has submitted a repair that was not noted as damage or a shortage on the Dealer Acceptance Form or the Dealer Unit Inspection Form. This repair has been denied. It is necessary to note this type of damage or shortage on the DAF at delivery or within the 3 business days as required in The Forest River Way guidelines.

@Kaitlyn R Uploaded the photos for Warranty Repair 2. Do you need me to go back to them at all for Warranty Repair 4 or do you accept their denial?

@Alix M DAF is an acronym for Dealer Acceptance Form, not “warranty exclusion document”. The purpose of the DAF is to confirm receipt of the unit and to document substantial damage or shortages that would reasonably warrant refusal of delivery. It is not intended, nor designed, to catalog minor cosmetic defects in material or workmanship. As stated directly on the form (Item #2 at the top), the Dealer Unit Inspection Form is to document substantial damage and shortages, not minor cosmetic issues that do not affect the function, saleability, or acceptance of the unit. A small gauge in entry steps (that was dirty, mind you) does not constitute a “major defect” that would justify refusing delivery of the unit. Refusing delivery for such an issue would be impractical and inconsistent with standard industry practice. The entry step was identified during the PDI process when the unit was properly cleaned and prepared for sale. The DAF serves as an acceptance confirmation—not a waiver of warranty coverage for cosmetic defects discovered during normal preparation. Denying coverage on this basis mischaracterizes the purpose and scope of the DAF. Based on the above, this damage should be treated as a warrantable defect present at delivery, not dealer-caused damage. Please advise on next steps to move this claim forward.
