@Kaitlyn R From FR: You were authorized for the complete awning you will not have to replace the fabric it will already be on the complete awning.   However, are you also replacing the awning arms? That will need to be ordered separately, and I can authorize and additional .60 each arm is .30 labor.   I can add time for that which would make it 1.50 + .60 total hours 2.10.

@Alix M @Kaitlyn R The awning arm will not close tightly at the bottom of the arm. We have disconnected the awning tube from the arm, checked for any wiring that may be causing binding and even removed the strut. No matter what we try, the awning arm will not close tightly at the bottom of the arm. I have called Lippert 3 times for 30-45 minutes each and have been told three times I would receive a call back, which has not yet happened. On the first call, they requested some photos, including cross measurements from arm to arm to verify the awning arms are parallel to one another. I keep getting emails from lippert saying my claim is denied because the arms are out of square. The photos show that they are within 1/8"! I am still waiting for a response back from them after challenging them and letting them know I am not looking for warranty replacement on the arm, I am just looking for support to determine why the arm will not close completely.

@Alix M Just to ensure we are all on the same page, the bottom of the awning arm wont completely retract. After discussing with LCI, we determined the wall of the camper has a large bow to it. This is causing the awning arm to deform when it is installed on the camper and is preventing the bottom of the awning arm from completely retracting. This is a Cedar Creek structural warranty concern, not a LCI awning arm concern.

@Michelle A @Matt F From FR: I am reviewing claim 2719329 for Sheryl Obernberger’s unit and after speaking with our upper management the customer will need to have this issue looked at within the next 90 days, as the unit is now currently out of the 1 year manufacturing warranty period since 4/12/26, and we just do not want any further damage or issue happening with the unit.   Once the appointment is set please let us know so we can document the date for our records.

@Matt F @Dustin L Warranty Repair 1 in regards to the bowed wall: I SPOKE WITH OUR GM AND PRODUCTION TEAM AND THEY ARE AGREEING WE ARE NOT SEEING A BOW FROM THE PHOTOS, PER OUR PRODUCTION MANAGER THE BEST REPAIR FOR THIS WOULD BE TO ADD SHIMS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE AWNING ARM (REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS FIRST) AND ADD THE SHIMS, ALSO HE SAID TO SEE IF THE MIDDLE OF ARM NEEDS SINKED IN MORE AND THEN ALSO MAY NEED TO ADD SHIMS TO TOP OF THE AWNING ARM. I WOULD RECOMMEND RESEALING THE AREAS AS WELL TO INSSURE NO LEAKS POSSIBLE I HAVE EMAILED WITH THE PHOTOS AS WELL TO ASSIST. I HAVE APPROVED 1.00 TOTAL .50 TO ADD SHIMS AND .50 RESEAL
