CUSTOMER STATES ENTRY DOOR WILL NOT LOCK FROM INSIDE TRAILER AND IF YOU CLOSE THE DOOR IN THE LOCK POSITION DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE
partial-match • confidence 0.63
cause
Entry door deadbolt will not close when door is shut Door will not close *73801*
matched • confidence 0.69
correction
Need to adjust strike plate in order to allow deadbolt to go into lock position. Requesting .30 mins for repair and adjustment. Found the entry door for the coach will not close unless excessive forces used to get it to close. It is dragging severely on the striker plate. Striker plate has been flattened out already and flathead screws installed and it is still dragging on the striker plate. In order to properly adjust the door the entire striker plate side of the door will have to be taken loose and shifted towards the rear until the door seats properly and is not dragging. Removed the plastic trim on the striker plate side of the door taking the screw out on the top that was holding in place under the drip rail, removed the trim completely, removed the grab handle from the side of the unit taking the covers off, removed the four screws setting the grab handle aside. Removed the metal trim on the inside of the door taking out approximately 10 screws. Removed all the screws from the door frame on the striker side, used a prybar loosened the door jam completely from the side of the unit. Moved the door jam over to where it was nearly touching the stud. Began testing the door at that time to see if it was going to open and close properly. Found that it was no longer dragging on the striker plate, it was no longer hanging up and closing properly and closing easily. Tested the deadbolt found that the deadbolt wouldn't close completely got a MARTINO, MELISSA ANN Customer #: 60727 marker marked the inside of the striker plate area for the deadbolt, used a drillbit, drilled it out until the deadbolt would operate correctly and close correctly. Reinstalled all the screws on the door jam side, reinstall the metal plate on the inside of the unit, reinstalled the plastic trim. Since the door jam was moved, the grab handle was reinstalled and it was reinstalled with slightly different screw holes prior to the installation. The old screw holes were silicone to ensure no leaking. New butal tape was applied to the backside of the grab handles and then the grab handle was reinstalled. It was tested for its functionality and it is working correctly. The door was checked again for proper operation and ease of opening and closing and deadbolt operation after everything was reinstalled. The door is now operating correctly. The job is now complete. Need to inspect electrical system to further diagnose. Needed to charge batterys over night and then inspect further. Once batterys were charged the water heater started to work along with the road vac without cutting out the power to the rest of the unit. While not plugged into shore power, and on inverter power only, ran the vacuum for more than five minutes without any power loss in the unit. Plugged the unit into shore power again ran the vacuum continuously for about five minutes again no power failure. Could not replicate customer complaint job complete. Tank sensors inop Not working MARTINO, MELISSA ANN Customer #: 60727
partial-match • confidence 0.44
correction
Upon testing it seems the unit has to be exactly level for the sensors to read accurately. Each tank was tested individually, and I did run into the same issue when the unit was not level it was not reading how it should. It said I had 1/3 when it was actually empty therefore that tells me if the unit was more out of level it would be exactly how customer described. Leveled the unit from front to back. Checked the control board it showed empty. Filled the fresh tank through the gravity fill, monitored the fill panel as it went up to 1/3, 2/3 then two full. Removeed the drain plug watched the monitor panel as the tank drained going from full to 2/3, to 1/3 to empty. Verified the tank was empty. The sensors are working correctly. Informed customers to make sure unit is level before expecting accurate tank readings. The job is now complete.

@Stephanie K I am hoping all the line items will be covered. This is the unit we had to replace the entire front because of delam. They purchased this unit in October and in November it stayed here forever. They have had nothing but problems with this unit and it has actually been here more than they have had it. The bathroom door will need to be replaced. If you have any questions, please let me know.

@Stephanie K I personally, if at all possible, would like to try getting them a new fridge since this has already been checked by our techs. And when our tech checked it and got it to temp with out food in it and they have already had to purchase another cooler.

Ok. I added a new job line separate from the work your tech did to see if we can get a new fridge and the mobile tech fee covered for the customer. I'll keep you posted. I may need to have you fill out the diag form for the fridge.
