Bring me PDI was found the front window blind would not stay up The tension strings were extremely loose In order to adjust the tension strings, the base plate had to be removed taking three screws out to gain access to the underside of the base plate Plastic strip had to be pulled from the base plate to get access to the actual strings Untied the knot at the tension string spring, took the slack out of the tension, strings re-tied the knot held the bass plate and place move the blinds up and down to ensure proper tension. The blind will now stay up. Replace the plastic strip and the base plate put the base plate back in place Resecured it with the three screws. Requesting 20 minutes

@Jeannette B For job 2 - is this just diag time that is being asked for? There is not an actual repair stated, just that 1.5 hours is needed for removal, testing, reinstall and retesting. I can't just ask for diag time, I have to know what the repair is also going to be. I will also need the model and serial numbers for the furnace, please. Thank you!

@Stephanie K Without removing the furnace the tech is not able to find the cause of it not lighting.

I understand, but typically, there also needs to be a repair stated, so basically, all diag would need to be done to determine what repair is needed. I will try to get approval for this, but I'm not sure it's going to go through. I did attach the diagnostic worksheets in here for your tech to fill out as well, since I don't have pictures of the model and serial numbers, there is one for Dometic and one for Suburban.

@Jeannette B As suspected, FR needs to know what the issue is before any time is given for job 2. If tech doesn't want to pull furnace to diag without time being approved, I would recommend calling FR and speaking with their technical help to see if the issue can be diagnosed without pulling the furnace first. There are also some diag sheets here in DB in this work order folder that I would recommend completing. I'm not sure which brand furnace this is - I don't have any tags to determine it, but I uploaded Dometic and Suburban forms.

@Stephanie K
Cause: Gas line for the furnace in the underbelly looped twice between the frame and the floor completely pinched
Correction: Per the service manager during the PDI, the furnace would not light the fan would come on to check numerous components, including having a battery hooked up having it plugged into shore, power being able to reach all the way through to the front and turn the reset switch on and off still would not light check the gas lines under the couch check the gas lines under the cabinet did not see any visible pinches or kinks in the line.
Service manager advised to remove the furnace and bench test did unscrew the exhaust from the side of the unit disconnected all four air ducts from the side of the furnace disconnected. The power slid the furnace out disconnected. The gas line took the furnace to a table in the shop where it was hooked up to 12 V power and a separate gas bottle with a regulator. The furnace was hooked up. The exhaust was installed on the furnace gas turned on the furnace immediately lit and ran cycled the furnace three separate times each time it lit and ran.
This prompted me to further investigate the gas lines in order to investigate the gas lines inside the belly board since there were no visible pinches or kinks outside of the belly board or under the cabinet. I did have to remove the passenger side rear tire removed six screws holding the underbelly and pulled the spray foam loose that was around the gas lines and on the edges around the axles.
Pull the belly board down, got a light and shined it inside, knowing that it was the gas line that was closest to the outer wall when it came through the floor began looking for this particular line and I could see immediately the line went through the floor and immediately between the steel frame, and the floor looped around and then between the floor and the frame for a second time before going out through the belly board and into the junction for multiple gas lines to be attached from the main line
Photographs were taken of the line in the means that it was pinched. There was no gas flow through this line whatsoever. I did turn the gas on verified. The gas is on with the cooktop. Check the gas line for the furnace no propane flow at all through the gas line.
A total of 9 feet of gas line with a male and a female adapter will be needed. Once the gas line is received. It will be connected at the junction underneath the coach fed through the belly board fed through the floor and around and then reconnected to the furnace itself the furnace and then can be slid back into place. The air ducts can be reconnected on both sides. The exhaust thing can be re-connected and screwed back to the side of the unit a drop test will have to be done since components were completely removed. Once a drop test is done and a pressure test is done. A retest of the furnace will be conducted as it is set up in the coach and meant to be run.
After the furnace is tested, verified that is working that there are no gas leaks. The belly board will have to be put back on place putting the screws back into the same screw holes foam reapplied to all areas where I remove the foam along the frame and around the gas lines going through the belly board..
Will request a total of four hours labor to completely remove and reinstall gas lines retesting reinstalling belly board reinstalling the furnace retesting the furnace job will be on hold for approval

@Jeannette B Job 1 and possibly 2 will have shop supplies
Job 1 approved .2
Job 2 approved 3.0
Both labor lines reduced by FR due to excessive labor
Jeannette Britton

@Stephanie K By chance will job 2 have shop supplies. If so, I am showing for Job 1 supplies would be $1.95 and job 2 would be $29.95?
Stephanie Kendziorski
processor • Oct 7, 2026, 6:38 PM
Hey Jeannette. If you claim $1.95 in shop supplies on line 1, if shop supplies are needed on line 2 you can only claim $23.05. Forest River allows a max of $25 across the entire work order.
Stephanie Kendziorski
processor • Oct 7, 2026, 6:42 PM
And, to go further with that, if the shop supplies needed are only some screws - I'd go on to say that $23.05 is excessive for screws. Personally, I don't think shop supplies would be needed on job 2 - but I wasn't sure, so I did leave it open for possibility, but from what I can see in the notes here, it doesn't look like any would be needed if tech was able to reuse the screws.
Jeannette Britton
dealer_or_external • Oct 8, 2026, 9:44 AM
@Stephanie K That works for me. I'm not exactly sure how shop supplies work though. I was told it's based off labor hours.
Stephanie Kendziorski
processor • Oct 8, 2026, 9:48 AM
It is, I claim 5% of the approved labor for shop supplies on jobs where the tech states he used putty, silicone, screws, bolts, nails, staples, stain pens, etc. However, FR has a max allowance of $25 per claim. If the tech doesn't say he used any of those things, I typically don't claim shop supplies for a job.

@Stephanie K So for job 2 tech did use spray foam, 8' LP hose and silicone but they are listed as parts used on the WO
