@Alix M That slideroom has a bunch of cabinetry in it that will require disassembly to detach from the floor. We will need to R&I the couch and the refer, possibly the oven. All of the interior fascia will need to be removed to hyper extend the room out of the slide opening. After that, the lower corner trims will need to be removed and the floor removed. At that point, the linoleum will have to be carefully removed to attempt to reuse it. A new floor will need to be manufactured and laminated with plywood, a taper be cut on the interior edge, laminated/wrapped with darco, linoleum installed, then reinstall the slide floor and exterior corner trims. The slide room will go back into the opening, reinstall fascias, reinstall couch and refer, possibly stove.

@Matt F From Cassi:
This was approved for 12.0 hours by Michael S as this is flat rate based on the job and the quote by ft for replacing the flooring
Let me know if you would like me to respond as I already sent her all the information you stated above. Thank you!
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jan 9, 2026, 5:23 PM
@Alix M The flat rate is most certainly for a standard slide out that doesn't have a refrigerator or cabinetry that is fastened to the slide floor.
Alix Mongiat
processor • Jan 12, 2026, 8:17 AM
@Matt F I have emailed Cassi with this information. I have also asked her to put the PA back to pending for us so we can add that information into the correction. I would recommend the technicians include all of that information on the WO when we first enter it, it would be helpful to list everything that needs to be R&I in the correction. I will keep you updated with what Cassi comes back with. Thanks!

@Matt F They have kept this approved at 12 hours; the flat rate for a floor replacement is 5.0 hours an we gave an additional 7.0 for the uninstall reinstall of the appliances so the 12.0 hours will remain approved

@Alix M Is there a part number for a replacement floor? A replacement floor can not be fabricated and installed in 5 hours. Maybe they are missing the extra time to fabricate the new floor.

TESTING AND LEARNING - Greeneway GRE 8220 | Grand Design Monday meeting | RO 13164B / PA 918462 / claim 997478
Reviewed the original RO, January email chain, all 23 images individually, final invoice and paid claim. The photos directly show a splintered/missing slide-floor edge and the couch, refrigerator and cabinetry that complicate access. Numerous staple-hole photos support the finish complaint, but overlapping views do not represent additional operations. Mirror photos show construction, not an audible rattle test; none establish final floor installation or exact labor duration.
The January 8 unanswered follow-up is historical. Grand Design's January 13 notes explain 5 hours for the floor plus 7 for appliance removal/reinstallation, maintaining 12 hours. Later claim 997478 is paid at $2,315.88. The final invoice is $3,482.08, leaving a $1,166.20 document difference before ledger reconciliation. Do not present the full original 28-hour estimate as unpaid actual work.
Final labor is 21.16 hours versus 12.8 paid, a difference of 8.36 hours / $1,170.40. Of that, the floor bills 19.71 hours versus 12 paid (7.71 / $1,079.40); staple-hole filling bills .50 versus .10 and the shower-wall panel .45 versus .20 (combined .65 / $91). Mirror .20 and cabinet-frame .30 hours are already matched. Parts and freight/handling allocation net $4.20 more paid than the final nonlabor total; reconcile that credit as part of the total.
Greeneway's supplemental request should show the actual floor task sequence: broken exterior screws, glued fascia access, couch and service disconnections, supported room/floor removal, vinyl transfer, reassembly and sealing. Separate necessary original repair time from the recorded vinyl tear and bunched-vinyl correction during installation, and explain what the 12-hour allowance already covered. Confirm actual floor dimensions/order (final measurement 124-1/2 by 35-1/2 versus the early 13-foot estimate). Include the delivery/damage acknowledgment because Grand Design asked whether transportation or the DAF recorded this DPU damage.
Monday request: agree a fair additional allowance for documented necessary work beyond the paid 12 hours and resolve the .65-hour finish/panel variance, using the final technician entries and completion/test evidence. Correct the apparent claim start-year mismatch for the meeting chronology: 12/16/2026 is later than the listed 6/23/2026 completion, while the RO starts December 2025. Ask for a named decision owner and written supplemental-payment date.
Learning: obtain written task-specific exceptions before complex disassembly, photograph the opened structure and completed repair, log actual time by task, and reconcile final labor to the latest approval/payment. Greeneway has substantial repair detail to support reconsideration while acknowledging Grand Design's existing approval and payment.
