@Kaitlyn R Scratch that.. It looks like they approved this for 1 hour of labor and a no charge replacement will be shipped to the dealership. Recreational Living approves R/R of RAREC3A and 1 hours for labor. Please provide the address and phone where the no charge replacement needs to ship. This authorization is valid for 30 days from the date issued. All repairs must be completed within this 30 day time period to be covered. If repairs cannot be completed within the approval time allowed, a new authorization will need to be obtained. No authorizations will be given if the warranty date has expired, even if the authorization was previously given and the warranty work was not completed within the time allotted. All charges must be submitted to GE Appliances, Recreational Living within 120 days of the repair being completed, or no credit will be allowed. Dealer: Greeneway Date of Purchase: Stock Product: GE Main Control Unit Claim Reason: Defective Note: As of 1/1/2022 replacements must be shipped direct from GE Appliances, Recreational Living. A VCB cannot be submitted for reimbursement of parts only labor. Jessica Cooreman Senior Warranty Coordinator RecreationalLiving-Warranty@geappliances.com 1-800-772-7262

@Alix M @Kaitlyn R The thermostat on this unit is not compatible with the replacement board GE sent us. I have uploaded all of the pictures to show the original thermostat, the control knobs are on the bottom of the thermostat and not on the side. We will need them to either send us a compatible thermostat or a conversion kit to get this AC working.

@ANNA F @Kaitlyn R From the vendor: It looks like you got the RGREC3A Gen 2 control board sent instead by accident. We are sending a Gen 2 wall t-stat RGRWT2B and also a wire harness adaptor that will allow the Gen 2 products to communicate with the Gen 1 AC unit (shipment number 26.07481). We are also providing an additional 0.50 hours of labor for installing the wall t-stat and wire harness.
ANNA FREEMAN
dealer_or_external • May 19, 2026, 2:26 PM
@Alix M Per Matt the Gen 2 was the correct board, the thermostat and harness we received will NOT work with the the gen 2 board. We need a thermostat to work with the gen 2 board OR a board that will work with the thermostat and harness we were sent.

@Kaitlyn R I am confused on this one. Above on the 19th there are notes from Anna "Per Matt the Gen 2 was the correct board, the thermostat and harness we received will NOT work with the the gen 2 board. We need a thermostat to work with the gen 2 board OR a board that will work with the thermostat and harness we were sent." GE came back asking to have someone call them. Is this work actually done?
Kaitlyn Reinwand
dealer_or_external • May 28, 2026, 11:51 AM
@Alix M the work is done... @Matt F could you shed some light on this?
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • May 28, 2026, 12:59 PM
@Alix M The board that GE sent was correct, but the "new style" thermostat will not communicate with it. If we are to use the board they sent, we will need a "old style' thermostat. If they want to send a different board that will work with the new style thermostat, that would also be acceptable. The reason the "work is done" is because we took an old style thermostat out of another stock unit to accommodate a deadline. I now need to make the stock unit whole.
Alix Mongiat
processor • May 28, 2026, 2:27 PM
I have reached out to GE. If they send a no cost part for the "old sytle" thermostat, I won't be able to claim a part on this and that will need to be removed. I will keep you posted.

@Matt F @Kaitlyn R From GE: Please be advised that on 5/21/2026 there was an email that was sent asking to have the tech reach out to our tech assistance line. We sent out a Gen 2 control board, a Gen 2 t-stat, along with a wire harness adaptor that will allow the Gen 2 items to communicate with the Gen 1 AC unit. Did the tech reach out to our tech assistance line? I am stuck on this one because I told them you replaced the thermostat with the old style but if you didn't do what they asked, I am not sure how to move forward. @Chris B
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jun 10, 2026, 1:22 PM
@Alix M the parts they sent had all of the wrong connectors and would not plug into the AC unit. There were no adapters or anything else sent to make it work.

@Alix M Problem being, I now have another unit without a thermostat... I either need an old style thermostat, or a new thermostat and new control board that will work with the old AC unit.
Alix Mongiat
processor • Jun 24, 2026, 11:55 AM
@Matt F @Michelle A What is the part that was claimed? Is that not an old one that was ordered?
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jun 24, 2026, 2:03 PM
@Alix M When we order (or request) the old one, we receive a new style thermostat and a new control board that is compatible with the new thermostat. The problem is the new control board is not compatible with the old Air Conditioner.
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jun 24, 2026, 2:05 PM
@Alix M To break it down, the thermostat communicates with the control board that is installed in the area directly below the air conditioner. The air conditioner plugs into the control board, and the control board is what controls the air conditioner. A/C > Control Board > Thermostat
Alix Mongiat
processor • Jun 24, 2026, 2:07 PM
I will reach out to GE and see if they will be sending a part at no cost to replace the one you took from the other unit. The other thermostat invoice should not have been uploaded to this or added onto the Final WO if that was not what was used. I will see what GE and FR says.
