Michelle Antinoja
dealer_or_external • May 13, 2025, 5:33 PM
@Alix M Line 6, the awning damage is from the awning lights being top high up. when awning is closing the lights get in the way and stretch the fabric right there causing the tears. when we replace we will put the lights in the proper place to avoid further issues.
line 10 : we do not know the cause of the crack. it could be from during travel. it is not gauged or damaged like it was hit. that is why there is no cause because we do not know how it happened. CMR states he noticed it while in the bathroom.

Warranty Repair 6:
hello, please advise when this was first noticed as it has been on the dealer lot since 2022 and retail owned for 10 months.
Job warranty repair 8:
Dealer and Retail seal maintenance checks begin at the 6-month mark as outlined in the Dealer Inventory Maintenance Schedule from "The Forest River Way" guidelines and the Owner's Manual Maintenance Schedule. It appears the seal has not been maintained. We will cover as a one time goodwill for the customer at 1 hour.
Warranty Repair 13:
hello, the panels cannot be repalced as these are vaccuum bonded walls. can the tech reomove the windows and heat and smooth the paper back down?Thank you.
Michelle Antinoja

wARR06 - CUST NOTICED AT AFTER PICK UP OF UNIT WHEN PUTTING OUT THE FIRST TIME.
WARR13 - WE DID HEAT GUN THE PAPER BACK DOWN, MY TECH IS SAYING THAT IF THE CUSTOMER ISN'T HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT LOOKS NOW IT WOULD NEED TO HAVE PANELS REPLACED. bUT A MAJORITY OF IT LOOKS REALLY GOOD NOW. FEW SPOTS THAT WE STILL COULD NOT GET WRINKLES OUT OF.
WARR8 i WILL PASS THAT DOWN i KNOW THAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING BETTER WITH CHECKING MORE FREQUENTLY, BUT AS I UNDERSTAND THAT WAS NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS RECOMMENDED PREVIOUSLY OR SOMETHING. i'M NOT SURE BUT i WILL LET TECH KNOW TO GET THAT DONE. AND LET TECHS KNOW ON FUTURE REFERENCE.

@Alix M So as I mentioned previously, We just used a heat gun to get the paper to sit back down. A majority of that fixed it but there are few spots that look better but you can still see crinkling. We want labor paid for the time we put in to laying paper back down. We are stating that if the customer is still not happy they would have to take it up with Forest River in order to handle that.

@Alix M @Michelle A On warranty line 6, there is an issue causing the cuts in the awning fabric. when the awning is completely rolled in, the light track rubs against the fabric and is causing the cuts. It isn't a defect in the fabric, it is a workmanship issue. The awning fabric needs to be replaced due to the cuts, and the awning light needs to be replaced with a tape on style so the light track can be removed to prevent the issue from reoccurring. I know awning fabric issues are typically an uphill battle, but this one is legitimate - the damage to the fabric was caused by the placement of the awning track and the fabric having too steep of an angle causing the light track to chafe against the fabric and make the little cuts you see in the pictures. This SHOULD be a warrantable repair.
