Dryer is making noise
needs-review • confidence 0.06
cause
Turned on the dryer and began running the dryer. Could hear a clunking noise every time the drum made one complete revolution. Chris, our shop Foreman spoke with a rep from the manufacturer. Lid was removed off the top of the dryer, began turning the drum by hand until the clinking noise was heard. Continue to rotate it to look for rub marks on the drum itself and found the seam on the drum from about midpoint on the drum to the front of the dryer was sticking up about 16th of an inch and rubbing on the sidewall of the dryer.

correction
Stuck hand between the drum and the right side wall of the dryer since it was not rubbing on the left side. Press the outer seam outward and then began running the dryer with electricity and found that it was no longer rubbing. There is not a way to get a photograph on the side of the dryer itself on the inside. After completing this, lid was placed back on the dryer was then plugged back into the receptacle in the washer/dryer closet and lifted back into place. Dryer hose was pushed back through the wall and dryer was sat down, locked into clips and reattached with screws. Requesting 2.0 hours of

Is there a claim number or auth number or just use the workorder?
Stephanie Kendziorski
processor • Aug 26, 2026, 11:06 AM
No, no claim/auth number at this time. I only have the email chain from an elusive "RS." I was hoping maybe when they processed it for payment there would be something official I could document for a claim number.
