The 12 V supply for this Step cut off switch above. The driver seat is supposed to have constant 12 V even with the battery off. In the fuse panel in the short cord compartment, they miswired that switch supposed to be on fuse F5. The wire was connected to F 27. The panel with the F5 fuse is constant hot even when the battery is disconnected, the panel with the F 27 fuse is switched with the battery disconnect.

I started by checking the wiring under the Step making sure I have power when I need it where I need it. All that seemed to check out. I contacted Lippert because its a quickie Step and they told me I needed a constant 12 V supply for the override switch in order to have the steps stay out. I contacted *1000* Newmar and talked to Leon, we ran through some troubleshooting, finally found out that the wire was connected to the wrong fuse. After connecting the wire to the proper fuse, the steps are currently working as designed. I did have to disassemble the panel above the driver seat during diagnostics to test the switch itself, and Leon had me pull the panel find out what color of the wires were to see if we could trace it down that way. After everything is working, I reassembled the panel above the driver seat and reinstall the cover over the fuse panel in the shore cord compartment. Job completed. Requesting 1.00hrs
