@Michelle A *Please let me know if you accept this or provide a response to their denial.
Warranty Repair 2:
Dealer has submitted a repair that was not noted as damage or a shortage on the Dealer Acceptance Form or the Dealer Unit Inspection Form. This repair has been denied. It is necessary to note this type of damage or shortage on the DAF at delivery or within the 3 business days as required in The Forest River Way guidelines.
Warranty Repair 4:
Dealer has submitted a repair that was not noted as damage or a shortage on the Dealer Acceptance Form or the Dealer Unit Inspection Form. This repair has been denied. It is necessary to note this type of damage or shortage on the DAF at delivery or within the 3 business days as required in The Forest River Way guidelines.

@Matt F HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO PROCEED ON THIS.
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Apr 7, 2026, 12:00 PM
@Alix M I would push back on this denial, but I would frame Warranty Repair 2 and Warranty Repair 4 a little differently.
The DAF is a Dealer Acceptance Form, not a warranty exclusion document. Its purpose is to document substantial damage or shortages that would reasonably warrant refusal of delivery. It is not intended to serve as a complete catalog of every minor defect, cosmetic issue, or condition that may only become apparent during prep, inspection, or repair.
Warranty Repair 2 should be reconsidered. The issue initially presented as a cabinet door that would not latch properly. During diagnosis and adjustment, it became apparent that the door was cracked and slightly warped, which is why replacement was needed. That is not the same as knowingly failing to report obvious delivery damage on the DAF. The full nature of the defect was identified during the repair process when the condition was evaluated more closely.
Warranty Repair 4 is a smaller item, but the same general principle applies: the DAF is not meant to capture every minor issue on the unit. A missing water heater door cam lock is not the kind of substantial damage that would reasonably justify refusing delivery of the unit, and denying it solely because it was not separately noted on the DAF mischaracterizes the purpose of that form.
Based on that, I do not believe either item should be denied solely on DAF grounds. Please ask Forest River to reconsider Warranty Repair 2 and Warranty Repair 4.
