@Alix M @Stephanie K i GOT CLAIRIFICATION FROM THE TECH. THE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON THE FURNACE AND IT IS LOUD. THE EXTERIOR OF THE FURNACE LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE AND DOES NOT SHOW ANY REASON TO BE MAKING THE NOISE. THE TECH IS RECOMMENDING THE FULL REPLACEMENT AS WE CAN NOT FINDS THE SPECIFIC ISSUE. TECH ALSO STATES THAT IF WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER ENTIRE FURNACE, THERE IS POSSIBILITY WE COULD CHANGE THE BLOWER MOTOR TO SEE IF THAT WOULD HELP THE NOISE LEVEL. IF THE BLOWER MOTOR DOES NOT FIX IT WE WOULD PROCEED WITH COMPLETE REPLACEMENT.

@Dustin L @Michelle A @Matt F From LCI:This unit was built in 2023 and purchased 10 months ago. The dealer states the cause for the concern with the window is it must be cut too large. That would have been noted on the DAF. Did the window ever function properly either at the dealership or for the customer?
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jan 14, 2026, 4:16 PM
@Alix M it most certainly would not have been listed on the DAF. It was not an obvious defect nor drivers damage. The sliding pane of glass is either too large or the latch on the glass was manufactured in the wrong position. The glass can not be closed enough for the latch to engage.

@Matt F @Dustin L from GD:This unit has been in for warranty twice. Was this not ever an issue? The video is needed for this warranty to be reviewed. **I have sent the videos two times already- so I am not sure why they are requesting them AGAIN. I will send them again.
Alix Mongiat
processor • Jan 16, 2026, 8:56 AM
@Matt F If you want to provide your response to the question, I can get this back to Grand Designs side. Thank you! I just sent the videos via email for the third time.

James emailed me back- Sorry, not sure why I asked for video again!. I do need the answer to this: Did the window ever function properly either at the dealership or for the customer?
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jan 16, 2026, 11:50 AM
@Alix M There are a lot of windows in the camper... and air conditioning. Apparently the customer hadn't opened that particular window until recently. The camper comes with a 1 year warranty to cover all manufacturer defects. Why does it matter? I am going to guess it did not work properly up until this point as the issue appears to be a manufacturing defect.

@Matt F @Dustin L From vendor: Has the window tracks been cleaned and lubricated with a 3 in 1 dry silicone spray?
Matt Ferkey
dealer_or_external • Jan 19, 2026, 2:26 PM
@Alix M @Dustin L Our Certified Technicians have correctly diagnosed the glass was either cut too large or the framework glued to the movable pane of glass was improperly placed. No amount of lubrication will allow the window to latch in the closed position. Please add .1 additional administrative time to this claim.
