@Dustin L Based on this original WO I entered the correction as the tech did it "Sprayed silicone along the aluminum between wear bar on main floor" .. The tech stated nothing was structurally wrong so that is what was approved. It sounds like you are stating the same thing in your comment above, so I am not sure what further guidance you would need as the tech already did this.

Previously tech sprayed silicone and it helped it, tech came back out for other repairs and customer states the sound is back and that is when he noticed the aluminum strip was making noise against the plastic wear bar, the customer has asked us to reach out to the manufacturer on what we could do to fix the sound

@Alix M Got with Matt about this, he is suggesting we apply some felt to the wear bar so when the slide goes out it sits on the felt instead of the plastic theoretically eliminating said noise, request time to apply felt to slide out and felt .5 hours labor

processor • Aug 7, 2026, 2:43 PM

@Dustin L @Matt F FR denied the felt due to it being a modification.

@Alix M The felt tape is a better solution in the long run, the silicone lubricant helped, however is not a lasting solution. The alternative here is we ask for approval for a new wear bar and new slide floor. Said slide floor cannot be built in shop it would need to be sent to us as it is composite. Also this is a mobile job and slide floors cannot be done via mobile, would have to bring unit into shop during the winter. We understand the felt is a modification but financially is a 50 dollar repair compared to thousands of dollars in repairs.

processor • Aug 13, 2026, 10:34 AM
@Dustin L @Matt F From FR: Unfortunately, we do not recommend modifications and cannot authorize for them. Furthermore, the one-year warranty for this unit is expired. If the customer would like to have this installed it will not be covered under warranty. Cedar Creek respectfully declines participation.

@Alix M This warranty claim was started on the 30 July 2025. This is the Manufacturers responsibility to take care of. We either need authorization on a small modification (felt tape and labor) or the replacement of the wear bar and slide floor after towing into shop doing job over winter and delivery in spring.

@Alix M Updating and requesting new composite slide floor and aluminum strip slide floor goes over and 10 hours labor, also request towing to facility and bringing unit back as unit is permanently parked.
