@Michelle A Please make sure the correction is on here. I can tell by what you have listed on the cause that you are replacing it, but the WO needs to state this. Thank you!

@Michelle A Make sure when you update WO's you don't replace the old ones. All files needs to be left in the folder, just name it updated and click "No" when it asks you if you want to replace the original. Thank you!

@Michelle A This was denied- GD states no repair was needed.

@Alix M The correction needed is a replacement of the batton strip.
Alix Mongiat
processor • Jan 9, 2026, 11:19 AM
@Michelle A Yes, and I stated that in the correction. However, GD is stating that the repair to try and straighten it didn't need to happen. This broke and needed replacement because of the dealership attempting a repair. I can go back and ask them to review again, but they didn't think it even needed to be straightened.

@Michelle A I have sent an email to Tony at GD to review again stating a repair did need to be made. I will let you know if/when I get a response from him. Moving this back to PA pending for now.

TESTING AND LEARNING — Testing/Learning claim: GRE 8220 / Write Off / RO 12219B. WHY UNPAID: GD denied PA921542 because it considered the batten-strip straightening unnecessary and the replacement necessary only after the dealer broke the strip during that attempted repair. The January 9 discussion already addressed the corrected replacement wording; further review with Tony and January 13/15 follow-ups ended in a January 15 refusal. This was not merely a missing correction on the RO. The three photos show the strip alignment but no measured defect against an accepted specification. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE DIFFERENTLY: document the original condition and why it required repair, obtain agreement on the repair method and coverage before dismantling cosmetic trim, and distinguish the original concern from damage caused during removal. Preserve both original and revised technician wording and the decision history. The updated RO is already in this packet; another wording change alone would not answer the denial. MONEY: 0.75 hour was requested, while the RO bills 0.5 hour/$70. Per the owner it is unpaid and written off; exact ledger loss is unverified. No later approval is present. @Chris B @Heidi H @Tricia H
